Morgan Welcomes New Furniture and Design Store

Lemon Tree Furnishings and Design opened its doors on December 3, 2008. The owners are Bob &Maxine Long and their daughter Kristen Lemon and her husband Karl. When looking for a name, Grandma Rhea, (Maxine’s mom) said, “That’s a no-brainer, Lemon Tree is cute and catchy.” It stuck.

Initial reactions of most first-time visitors to Lemon Tree include “Wow, what beautiful furniture,” “… am I still in Morgan?” and “Great, I do not have to drive to Salt Lake or Ogden!”

The mission statement behind Lemon Tree is to sell high quality furniture at a fair price. They try to carry items that will last and fit the needs of the buyers.  They want the customer to feel that they own a unique, high-quality piece of furniture that they can enjoy in their homes for many years to come. Their staff is eager to help the residents of Morgan County select and order furniture in styles that fit their personal tastes, whether it is Rustic Mountain or Elegant Victorian.

Lemon Tree carries Flex-Steel, Rowe, and Robin Bruce sofas, chairs, recliners, and sectionals. Solid hardwood tables, chairs and cabinets from Classic home, A-america, and Brownwood.  Purchase from floor stock or custom order that piece you have always wanted. They can help you select new furniture or accessories that will blend with your existing furniture.

Many Morgan residents have found Lemon Tree a good place to purchase unique presents for birthdays and special occasions. Gift ideas include wood and metal signs, dried or silk floral arrangements, pictures, pottery, carved bears, and metal art pieces by local artisan Joe Nelson make great gifts.  Most of the accessories are selected as one-of-a-kind, so you are not likely to find it in your neighbor’s home the next day.

The owners and employees of Lemon Tree look forward to working with you. Kristen has an Interior Design degree from Utah State University and has worked with furniture merchandising in Park City, Salt Lake, and Logan.  Maxine teaches third grade at Morgan Elementary and has a specialization in art. 

The staff of Lemon Tree is excited to add to the community for years to come.
